In the global security marketplace, increasing legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements are resulting in unprecedented demand for individuals with the ability to engineer, operationalize and continually improve a NIST Cybersecurity Framework management program.

Commenting on the partnership, Steven Cockcroft, Owner of CySec Professionals Ltd stated:

“Opportunity for Military Veterans and their Spouses seeking a rewarding career in cybersecurity is now within reach via the GI Bill and our partnership with Bryant University. Demand for those with NIST Cybersecurity Framework competence is increasing and will continue to do so. Adoption of the NCSP® program is growing rapidly amongst many organizations, globally, that are seeking to meet ever increasing legal, regulatory and contractual requirements for cybersecurity risk management. These very same organizations recognize the inherent professionalism and value that veterans bring to the table.

As a UK Veteran, enablement of US Veteran and Spouse access to NCSP® training and subsequent employment opportunity is something I am happy to achieve. Many UK veterans are already benefitting from new and increased competence and employment opportunity having qualified as NCSP® Practitioners.

This announcement comes at a time where the US Government, the US Department of Defense and several Regulatory are increasing requirements for improved cybersecurity risk management. The US Department of Defense (DoD) CMMC Scheme and recent announcements including those released by the New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) and S&P Global, are obvious examples that are driving demand for NIST-CSF adoption and increasing individual and organizational competence regarding the framework. I firmly believe that the US Veteran community can help fill that increasing demand.”
