CHECK Team Leader – Managing/Principal Consultant - £100k

Have you experienced burnout or gotten bored of the same monotonous CHECK engagements?

My client is a boutique security consultancy that prides itself on being led by active consultants who understand the challenges of the role. You would be joining a close-knit team, where company culture, work-life balance and team morale is prioritised over external factors.

You will experience a variety of different engagements, with a 40/60 split in CHECK and Non-Check work.

Day to day responsibilities

We are looking at experienced Penetration testers who can take either join as a Principal or Managing Consultant. As a Principal Consultant you would take a leading role developing the company in terms of scoping, building tools and propositions.

The Managing Consultant will be looked to lead a team of consultants aiding in their development and manging them on engagements.

Company average utilisation is 75% but team leaders and managers often work at a lower percentage due to their wider responsibilities.

• The Red Team Lead will take responsibility for the Red Team service offering of my client’s business and have significant autonomy and responsibility.

• You will lead a team of consultants and aid in their development.

• Delivery of high-quality penetration testing and red-team engagements

• You play a key role in developing the red team function, including recruiting new consultants and training staff.

• Act as a technical expert and lead the team on engagements.

• You will conduct a mixture of government CHECK and private non-CHECK engagements. This will be highly varied on roughly a 40 to 60 split of CHECK to Non-CHECK work.

• Assisting in proposal writing and scoping

• Customer management and debriefing

What are we looking for?

• You will need to be a proven penetration tester with demonstrable experience delivering engagements.

• Eligible for UK Security clearance.

• CHECK Team Leader status is required.

• Experience of mentoring less experienced consultants

• Great customer facing skills.
