Our clients, an international company specialising in HR software and payroll services, is looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join their team in Mauritius.


They provide a range of end-to-end integrated outsourced services including payroll processing, software development, software testing and finance back office.

The Senior Cybersecurity Analyst is an expert in the delivery and continuous improvement of cybersecurity operations activities. Responsibilities include performing all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of the organisation’s information systems assets and to protect its systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction. As a subject matter expert in cybersecurity operations, the contributor responds to and resolves cybersecurity operations related questions, inquiries, issues and events using established cybersecurity tools and procedures. Cybersecurity technologies will include, but are not limited to; SIEM, IPS, DLP, CASB, WAF and end point protection such as anti-virus and web proxies. 


Responsibilities will include management of these cybersecurity technologies as well as taking appropriate action on the events they generate. In addition, this contributor plays a key role in the development of the company’s overall cybersecurity program through the development of standard operating procedures, training materials, process improvement & documentation as well as mentoring and coaching more junior members of the cybersecurity operations team.


This position is a senior technical role requiring advanced knowledge of the field and provides day-to-day cybersecurity operations support for incident response, implementation and administration of information security controls. Work will be done in close partnership with other cybersecurity team members including cybersecurity architecture, governance and incident management. This position reports to the Cybersecurity Operations Manager.


Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned cybersecurity technologies.

  • Effectively manage and monitor assigned cybersecurity technologies.

  • Execute security controls to prevent hackers from infiltrating company information or jeopardizing programs.

  • Research attempted efforts to compromise security protocols and recommend solutions.

  • Create information security documentation related to work area and complete requests in accordance with company requirements.

  • Identify opportunities and execute plans to improve workflow and understand and quantify business impacts of those improvements for communication to management.

  • Provide status reports on security matters to develop security risk analysis scenarios and response procedures.

  • Develop large and/or highly complex solutions that require analysis and research.

  • Work on multiple projects as a project leader or technical leader/consultant.

  • Coach and mentor more junior technical staff.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Requirements:

  • Five or more years of demonstrated experience in Cybersecurity Operations.

  • Direct experience and proficiency with Cybersecurity Incident and Event Management (SIEM) preferably with LogRhythm.

  • Direct experience and proficiency with two or more additional cybersecurity technologies and tools including; application control, intrusion prevention systems, web application firewalls, proxy/web filtering, anti-virus and data leakage protection.

  • Working knowledge of network technologies (protocols, design concepts, access control).

  • Working knowledge of security technologies (encryption, data protection, design, privilege access, etc.).

  • Proficiency in time management, communications, decision making, presentation and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in planning, reporting, establishing goals and objectives, standards, priorities and schedules.

  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization.

  • Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with business and infrastructure peers across the organization globally.

  • Experience in senior technical role with limited direct daily supervision.

  • Experience mentoring junior staff when required.

  • Regular, predictable attendance is required.

  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period.

  • Evening and weekend hours will be required for this role.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology plus 5 years or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience is required.

  • CISSP, GSEC, CCNE, or other security or network certification strongly desired.
