Description

Our clients, a global leader in providing security products and solutions, is looking for Senior Threat Analysis Engineer to join their team in Dublin. They help companies and individuals secure important data.

The team is responsible for classifying new and emerging threats, disrupting attacks and modelling the threat landscape to improve machine learning classifiers and drive holistic protection across the entire attack chain.

You will have the opportunity to work with the best security talents in a fast-paced environment and work with an Agile.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse and produce protection for new and emerging threats.
  • Maintain a deep understanding and knowledge of the evolving threat landscape.
  • Research, develop and improve methods for threat detection, protection and correction.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of malware classification automation, analysis platforms and tools.
  • Understand sophisticated threats such as targeted attacks and 0-day vulnerabilities.
  • Produce actionable, comprehensive malware reports.
  • Support customer incident response as and when required.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to global team members.


Requirements

  • 4-6 years’ relevant Malware/Reversing experience.
  • Strong Reverse Engineering skills - using tools such as IdaPro, OllyDbg, SoftIce.
  • Networking experience.
  • iOS and Android debugging experience.
  • Low level coding - Fire handling.
  • Good knowledge of Windows Operating System internals, TCP/IP, 80x86 assembly.
  • Experience using commercial and open-source malware analysis tools and platforms (debuggers, disassemblers, sandboxes and virtualization solutions).
  • Familiarity with packed and obfuscated files.
  • Experience identifying and subverting anti-disassembly, anti-decompilation, anti-debugging, anti-virtualization/emulation and anti-forensic techniques.
  • Outstanding Communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Programming or scripting experience is beneficial.
  • Nice to have - fire behaviour and protocols.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related area.
